Two exquisitely painted trees stand tall decorated with birds, flowers and butterflies near the centuries-old medieval city of Guilin. The design works particularly well on natural textured grounds such as arrowroot and grass cloth. Printing on arrowroot with metallic adds extra lustre and a touch of sparkle to the scene.
